About Me
I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist with a BSc in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cape Town — and my work sits at the intersection of communication, learning, and the everyday moments that shape a child's development.
Over the years, I've worked across mainstream and remedial school settings, and one thing has become clear: many bright, capable children struggle — not because of a lack of intelligence, but because foundational skills like auditory processing, language, memory, and sequencing need intentional support. I've also seen how isolating and overwhelming that journey can feel for the parents walking alongside them.
That's where my heart is.
But this work isn't only professional for me — it's deeply personal. I'm a mom to a neurodivergent child. I know the questions that keep you up at night, the advocacy, the emotional weight, and the fierce desire to truly understand how your child learns. That lived experience shapes everything about how I show up for families — with compassion, flexibility, and deep respect for each child's unique wiring.
I strongly support parents who choose alternative educational paths, including homeschooling. I believe children flourish when their learning environments honour their strengths, their pace, and who they truly are.
My approach is simple but powerful: I help parents use everyday interactions — especially story time — to intentionally build language, auditory memory, comprehension, sequencing, and learning readiness. No overwhelming programs. No pressure to do more. Just practical, research-based strategies that fit into real family life.
Because when parents understand how learning develops beneath the surface, they become confident guides — and children flourish.
